The Proposal:
Akash surprised Anouchka with a gorgeous proposal located at Alowyn Gardens. The setting was styled with beautiful florals, candles and white rose petals which led to a “Will You Marry Me?” sign. How They Met:
Akash and Anounchka’s love story beganin 2019 at university. Anouchka’s housemate and Akash were friends as they were studying the same degree and were planning a group trip. The housemate invited Anouchka at the last minute to join them, se accepted, having no idea she was about to meet the love of her life.
From the moment they met, there was an undeniable connection. The chemistry was instant and they quickly began spending more and more time together. A month had passed, Anoucka had grew tired of waiting for him to make the first move, so she decided to take the plunge herself and asked him to be her boyfriend. Akash, of course, said yes.
How They Proposed:
On the big day, Akash told Anouchka he planned a family picnic as both their families were visiting from overseas. Akash had custom rings from India made for the both of them. As they made their way to the picnic area at Alowyn Gardens, Anouchka spotted the setting and remarked to Akash, “I think someone’s getting married here!” he then casually suggested for them to have a look.
As they approached the spot, music started playing, and suddenly, she found herself standing in front of a giant “Will You Marry Me?” sign. Her heart skipped a beat as the realisation hit her. Akash had a heartfelt speech ready, he said the sweetest words, expressing his love for her, and then got down on one knee. The moment was magical, as he pulled out a beautiful ring and asked her to be his forever.
The proposal was so overwhelming that she could hardly believe it, but what made it even more special was that Anouchka had actually been carrying Akash’s engagement ring in her pocket. She had planned on proposing to him herself, but he had stolen the show with his thoughtful surprise. Without hesitation, she pulled out the ring and, with a smile, slipped it onto his finger, telling him, “I would love to be yours.”
