JACOB + KANEY GLASS ROOM PROPOSAL

The Proposal:

Jacob surprised Kaney with a stunning white glass room set up with stunning waterside views located at Pier One Sydney Harbour, Walsh Bay. Styled with a gorgeous collection of white and baby pink roses, a table for two set up next to a “Will You Marry Me?” sign, this proposal was magical! How They Met:

Jacob and Kaney first crossed paths in 2020, a year marked by challenges as she faced job loss due to COVID-19. Seeking any administrative role to support herself through university, she applied at UFC Gym Bankstown and was offered a position. By chance, she was then redirected to UFC Parramatta, which was closer to home. She began working there in July 2020 during a themed dress-up week. It was during this time that she spotted Jacob in a Captain America suit, while Kaney wore an Iron Man outfit. Instantly attracted to him, she wanted to get to know him better but was determined to focus on her studies, avoiding any distractions. Shortly after, Jacob followed her on Instagram, and their conversations blossomed both online and at work. Taking the initiative, she invited him to hang out, and they hit it off remarkably well! Within three months of dating, they met each other’s families, and four years later, Jacob popped the question!

How They Proposed:

A month before the proposal, Jacob hinted at a work social event, exciting Kaney as it was a chance for her to doll up and feel beautiful. He even crafted a faux “invitation” that detailed the location and time. On their four-year anniversary, September 21, 2024, Kaney thought Jacob was proposing, especially since he requested that she wore white and did her hair and nails. However, as the day passed without a proposal, Kaney was heartbroken. The following week, Jacob’s “work event” arrived, with an all-white theme. She chose a white dress and walked into Pier One at Walsh Bay to meet his colleague and their partner before the event began. To her surprise, she entered a beautifully set-up space with a photographer and what appeared to be a “Will You Marry Me?” sign. Overwhelmed with emotion, she felt frozen in that moment, realising this was the best day of her life.

Congratulations to this gorgeous couple!
