The Proposal:
Jayme and Alanna’s proposal giveaway was apart of our valentine’s day giveaway that we gift a lucky couple each year. Jayme surprised Alanna with this beautiful proposal setting at Metropolis events in Melbourne. The proposal was styled with white rose petals leading them to a cozy sit-down set up.
How They Met:
Jayme and Alanna met at the beginning of Covid-19.They both had each other on social media, however didn’t do anything about it. One day, Alanna replied to one of Jayme’s posts that he shared on Facebook. Jayme replied to Alanna and the conversation flowed from there. From that day on, they spoke on FaceTime every day and night and played FIFA against each other online until they finally met face to face where they shared so much in common. Jayme and Alanna both have a passion for soccer, and their first date was at the local soccer pitch, kicking the ball around.It was love at first sight.
How They Proposed:
Jayme told Alanna that he won a buffet breakfast at Metropolis through work so she wasn’t suspicious. This included a dinner and accommodation. On the day of the proposal, Jayme and Alanna arrived at the venue with 30 minutes to spare. To stall time, they went for a walk and decided to get a coffee. Jayme then got the call saying that they could head up to the room. They finally arrived at Metropolis, where Alanna was seated in the foyer. Jayme walked through to “check in” and as soon as Jayme saw the set up, he was in awe! Jayme was about to propose when everything he recited went blank and his legs started to shake.
Alanna was walking towards Jayme where he said “yeah breakfast had to be cancelled.” They were met with white rose petals and a neon “Marry Me” sign. They laughed and Alanna started crying when she saw the proposal setting. Jayme dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him. Alanna of course said “Yes!” The couple celebrated with their family into the night with a bottle of champagne and surprises from friends meeting them in the city! We absolutely loved setting this proposal giveaway up.
