Couple Proposal Moment in Winery

Steven + Jacinta’s Winery Picnic Proposal

The Proposal:

Steven engaged My Proposal Co. to create a winery picnic proposal setting with a stunning floral arbour located at a winery in McLaren Vale, Adelaide. We organised a professional photographer to capture the special moment. The couple enjoyed a bottle of champagne to toast with after Jacinta said yes!

How They Met:

Jacinta and Steven met when they were 16 and 17. They got to know each other when their best friends started to dating. During the course of their relationship, they unknowingly had a crush on each other. They believed it wasn’t appropriate to act on their feelings so they remained friends. Jacinta and Steven were friends for 2 years before their best friends broke up. As a result, they stopped seeing each other altogether. Three years and a bad relationship each later, Jacinta and Steven rekindled their friendship when they both experienced hard break ups. Shortly after coming back into each other’s lives, they realised there was a reason they had crossed paths, although they weren’t ready for each other at that point in their lives.

The couple’s theory is that the universe wanted them to experience heart ache before finding each other romantically so they could appreciate how good they have it. Jacinta and Steven are a more humble and stronger couple, and realised they will never take another moment together for granted. A month after they reconnected, Jacinta and Steven were infatuated with each other and quickly fell completely head over heels.

How They Proposed:

A few weeks prior to the proposal, Jacinta received an email from her boss stating that he needed her to do a photoshoot for the website, along with a lunch with developers at a winery. Jacinta looked on the winery’s website to see if she could catch a glimpse of the lunch menu before getting to the venue but didn’t have any luck. Luckily, she didn’t think anything of it. This was because the winery did not serve lunch.

A few days prior the photoshoot, Jacinta went to get her nails done. On the morning of the proposal, Jacinta did her hair, make up, and dressed appropriately for the winery lunch. Jacinta brought three outfits with her so she could change for different photos throughout the afternoon. When arriving at the venue, Jacinta saw the proposal setting from her car. However, she thought to herself “that’s cute, someone must be getting married this afternoon”.

Jacinta made her way toward the entrance where she was met by a lovely staff member and she asked for her company’s table seat. The staff member walked Jacinta around where her eyes met with Steven’s. She arrived at the stunning winery picnic proposal setting with a floral arbour and a “Will You Marry Me” sign. In shock, Jacinta said yes one hundred times! She asked Steven if he saw her boss as she thought she was going to be late to her photoshoot.

Steven had orchestrated the whole story of Jacinta’s work meeting and photoshoot. He spoke with her boss and asked for his assistance with the proposal. The couple enjoyed a delicious platter with champagne provided by the winery. They then had an intimate proposal photoshoot. Shortly after the photoshoot, a helicopter landed over McLaren Vale. Jacinta and Steven then took a ride over the block of land they had recently purchased.
