The Proposal:
Taylor engaged My Proposal Co. to create a beautiful fairy light tree proposal setting with candles, red roses, and petals for the ultimate, romantic touch. The proposal took place at Observatory Hill, Sydney with the Harbour Bridge in view. We organised a professional photographer to capture their special moment as the sun was setting and the fairy lights began to glow.
How They Met:
Taylor and Stephanie are both primary school teachers and met by pure coincidence in 2019. Taylor accidentally turned up to the wrong school in search of a days work in which Stephanie was employed at. Taylor then continued to work at the school for the remainder of the year. They were both strangers initially and over time developed a strong friendship through vast similarities. They then became best friends as colleagues which grew stronger over time. One night, Stephanie and Taylor were attending a work dinner where the other two colleagues who were supposed to attend withdrew from the occasion, leaving them both one-on-one. Following a beautiful dinner and meaningful conversations they realised then, that their bond was super special. The rest is history!
How They Proposed:
Stephanie initially thought they were going to Taylor’s best friends’ engagement as he created invitations and got his friend to send it to them. Stephanie then bought a black dress as she thought she was going to an engagement at a museum. As they were walking, Taylor remained calm and organised signs to be in place so that Stephanie wouldn’t be suspicious. Taylor and Stephanie admired the view and headed toward the Sydney Harbour Bridge to get a picture. As they started walking down the hill, their song “Sky full of stars – acoustic version” came on and Stephanie’s heart dropped and she froze. As she turned around to look behind her, Taylor was smiling and Stephanie saw the beautiful setup of the fairy light tree. Taylor got down on one knee and said his speech which Stephanie was blown away by and said “yes”, of course! Taylor emphasised to us that he wanted to make the proposal sentimental and not staged looking. Stephanie had no idea making it the best part as she didn’t suspect a thing!
