Winter Proposal Ideas

Winter is fast approaching and we already feel the chill in the air. Does that mean that proposal season is over? No way, it’s just about to peak, so you haven’t missed your chance! It’s time for some winter proposal ideas!

As the temperatures drop and the days become shorter, now is the time to
get cosy and romantic with your significant other.

Here are a few Winter proposal ideas direct from our proposal planners

Cozy Picnic

Just because it’s getting colder, doesn’t mean you can’t picnic!  The picnic just needs to be super snuggly.

We are picturing an intimate picnic setting with fluffy snuggle blankets inside a cocooned tepee with a perfect view!

Champagne is usually the go-to beverage when it comes to celebrations and proposals, but how about a winter mulled wine to warm the soul instead? You can pair this with a cheese board and an engagement ring, and there you have the perfect winter proposal! Oh and don’t forget the matching beanies.

Hotel Room or Holiday House

If the outdoors isn’t your thing, you can always book a hotel room or holiday house for the occasion. We have booked and styled many hotel rooms and cosy holiday homes for our clients who want to propose indoors.

If you have opted for a hotel, of course a higher floor is always preferred, so remember this when booking the room category and always aim for 5 star, if the budget allows.

When considering a holiday home for your Winter proposal, make sure it’s cosy – a cabin with a fireplace and spa would be ideal!

We love finding the perfect accommodation for our clients!
Not only will you have the perfect indoor proposal venue, but you also have somewhere to spend the weekend together.

Indoor Venue

If an overnight stay isn’t your thing, then an indoor venue or private dining room is also up there with the best cosy Winter proposal ideas. Private venues can be hired for an elaborate proposal setting or you can hire a private dining room with your very own waitress and degustation menu (don’t forget the wine pairing!). Just tell your partner you’re invited to a work event or friend’s birthday and imagine the look on their face when they walk in through the doors, to find the proposal of their dreams, setup in front of them!

Bonfire

You have seen it in Hollywood movies and it’s always so romantic! A bonfire proposal would be super cute and almost everyone’s dream, right? Of course, you should always keep fire safety and fire restrictions in mind when coming up with this plan. A small contained fire on a private property is the best option for a winter proposal. We are picturing a beautiful rustic set up with fairy lights, comfy bean bags, hot chocolate, marshmallows and flickering flames.

Snow Proposal

This one of course depends on where you live
and/or if you’re willing to head away for the weekend to catch some snow.

A proposal amongst snow is so fairy-tale in our eyes – we love it! We can write MARRY ME? In the snow with candles and petals and set up a red aisle of petals leading to the proposal location. So dreamy!

Now that we have given you some epic Winter proposal ideas, reach out and let our proposal planners bring the fairy-tale to life!
