The Proposal:
Jair reached out to My Proposal Co. wanting to plan the perfect Harbour Bridge Proposal. We looked no further than one of our favourite North Sydney locations and helped him set up a breathtaking picnic setting adorned with a stunning pink flower arch. Sydney weather turned it on for the day, leaving the perfect Harbour Bridge backdrop for their professional photographer to capture. We even went live on Instagram so their family and friends could be in on the special proposal moment!
How They Met:
In 2017, Jair joined the same soccer club as Jade. They always noticed each other at games, but neither of them spoke. At the soccer presentation for the end of the season, Jade was asked to take photos for the night. She had gone to the bar and that was the first time Jair spoke to her – he offered to let her cut in front of him, as it was only himself and his teammate in line. Before she walked away from the bar, he asked her to join him. They sat in the foyer and talked for the rest of the night… He gave Jade his number as his phone battery had died, so she messaged him first. The next week they went on their first date to watch IT at the movies. She was traumatised by the movie, but he managed to redeem himself and they have spoken every day since!
How They Proposed:
A friend of Jade’s sister had to postpone their wedding from July 2021 to November 2021. She invited Jade to her so called ‘kitchen tea picnic’ by the Sydney Harbour Bridge as the perfect way to get Jade to the location. Jade was lead to believe that it was a last minute invite as some friends had pulled out. Even the Facebook invite page had pretend posts from two weeks beforehand to back up the story. They went through so much effort to trick her! One the day of, Jade’s sister had booked for them to get their hair and makeup done in the morning, then the bride to be was going to pick them up to go to the location.
Once they arrived, they left Jade waiting by the picnic as they went to grab something from the car. As she was sat on the bench seat, taking photos of the beautiful set up, she heard music begin to play from the setting. However, she thought it might have been coming from the boat in the harbour. She looked around her to see if they were back yet and saw her boyfriend (now fiancé) walking towards her with a bouquet of flowers. She was so confused! He then took her hand and walked her to the Harbour Bridge Proposal setting where he dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him! Ignorance really is bliss!
