The Proposal:
James surprised Zeljana with a stunning hotel room proposal with views of the Harbour Bridge. The setting included white flowers, candles, a carpet and a huge floral heart with a neon “Will You Marry Me?” sign. James engaged My Proposal Co as his proposal planners so they could set up this gorgeous proposal for Zeljana. A professional photographer was onsite to capture their special moment.
How They Met:
James and Zeljana first met through a mutual friend back in November 2018, for her birthday. They were staying at an Airbnb for two nights. Zeljana got quite tipsy on the first night and was basically bedridden on day two. James came into her room with this huge crab, assumingly to scare her. Unfortunately for him, and to his surprise, Zeljana wasn’t really phased by this and ended up turning back over to continue sleeping. Shortly after, a group of them organised to go to an event, and that was the night they couldn’t keep their eyes off of each other. The next day, Zeljana found him on Instagram and decided to follow him. Generally people ask you the night of “did you get home okay?”, however James messaged her two days later. She couldn’t help but laugh and their conversations grew from there, and they ended up spending the entire summer together. A few short weeks later, they went out for dinner and he pulled out a beautiful promise ring and asked her to be his girlfriend.
