The Proposal:
Joel surprised Martina with a gorgeous proposal located at the Balgownie Estate. One of the most touching moments came when he remembered her Orthodox Christmas and showed up with a gift. It was a simple, meaningful gesture, but it meant more to her than she could express. He had a way of making her feel like a princess, and he continued to do so every single day. As their friendship deepened, by December 2022, they both realised what they shared was more than just friendship. On the 23rd of December, they went on their first date, and from that moment on, they both knew something special was unfolding between them. It didn’t take long for them to make it official, and their connection only grew stronger with each passing day.
Throughout their relationship, he continued to spoil her—not just with gifts, but with love, affection, and unwavering support. Every day with him felt like a reminder of how lucky she was to have him by her side. On 20th August 2023, Joel made an important decision in his life, choosing to become an Orthodox Christian, which further solidified their bond and their shared values.
How They Proposed:
He told her they were going to visit her favourite winery, a place she’d always wanted to go but hadn’t had the chance to yet. She was excited, but had no idea that this trip would turn into something she would never forget. When they arrived, he handed her a bag, and inside was the most beautiful dress she had ever seen. She was already feeling overwhelmed by how thoughtful he was being.
They wandered around the winery, enjoying the beautiful scenery, but her heart was racing because she had no idea what was about to unfold. Then, he led her to a private spot with a breathtaking view of the vineyard. At that moment, everything seemed to slow down, and with a smile that completely melted her, he got down on one knee and asked the most beautiful question: “Will you marry me?”
She was completely overwhelmed with emotion. Time seemed to stand still. Without even thinking, she said yes, all she could feel was the depth of his love for her and the love they had built together. It was a day filled with romance and thoughtfulness, perfectly planned from start to finish.
He made her feel more loved than she ever thought possible, It was beyond anything she could have ever imagined.
