The Proposal:
Mitchell surprised Reanna with a beautiful hotel proposal at Sydney’s Hyatt Regency. The setting was filled with white florals and balloons as well as a “will you marry me” sign. How They Met:
The couple first met in Year 7 at high school where Reanna tried to set Mitchell up with her friend. Unfortunately, her friend was not interested in him but luckily for Reanna, they both became interested each other. They started dating in year 7, and then broke up at begInning of year 8 because they were too shy to speak to each other in person.
During this time, Reanna had missed Mitchell and wished they hadn’t broken up. One day, Reanna’s best friend gave her the courage to message Mitchell. They started talking that day, and never stopped! Fast forward to a year, Mitchell asked Reanna to be his girlfriend in year 9 on the bus ride home. Mitchell would catch Reanna’s bus to spend extra time with her, even though he had to walk 2km from the bus stop to home. 6 years later, they celebrated their 6 year anniversary. The couple have been on countless holidays together, have their own fur-baby ‘Louis’.
How They Proposed:
On their 6 year anniversary, Mitchell and Reanna organised to stay at Sydney’s Hyatt Regency for the weekend. Reanna thought they had booked an average room, however, she didn’t realise that Mitchell had actually booked their best room with harbour views. They could perfectly see the nightly fireworks at 8:30 from their room. The day after their anniversary, they went shopping in the city all day.
After they shopped until they dropped, they headed back to their hotel room. Reanna opened the door and was surprised with a hotel proposal filled with a “marry me” sign. Mitchell then got down on one Knee and asked Reanna to marry him. Of course she said “yes!”. To top it off, Mitchell had Reanna’s favourite, chocolate coated strawberries on the bed waiting for her. After Mitchell proposed, the couple celebrated with a professional proposal photoshoot and drinks at the roof top bar with their family.
