Somain + Vishakha’s North Sydney Proposal

The Proposal:

Somain surprised Vishakha with a gorgeous North Sydney proposal filled with white and light pink florals and personalised photographs. Fresh red petals, and a “Will You Marry Me?” sign topped off the setting. Somain engaged My Proposal Co. to make sure the day would be perfect by managing all logistics, and tailoring the design of the beautiful setting unique to Vishakha’s style. We helped make sure the day would be perfect by coordinating a professional photographer to capture the magical of this North Sydney proposal.

How They Met:

Somain and Vishakha met online through some mutual family friends trying to set them up. They were both quite reluctant of this however went along with it nonetheless. Somain lived in Adelaide and Vishakha in Sydney so Somain texted Vishakha for the very first time and they decided to have a chat. Somain found her very talkative while Vishakha found him to be rather shy. Both their families encouraged them to have another conversation leading Vishakha to send a text to Somain that evening where they ended up texting for hours. They spoke again the next day and then the day after that.

A month later, Somain and Vishakha met for the first time realising that they liked each other and had become quite good friends. Somain flew down to Sydney and Vishakha went to pick him up at the airport, surprising him with a bouquet. They went for lunch and after that, it was natural and the attraction was instant! The pair flew to each others hometowns multiple times to visit each other, and after that they started their long distance relationship.

How They Proposed:

During their pre-wedding photoshoot, Somain had planned the most beautiful proposal. When they walked out of the car, Vishakha saw a white carpet leading up to an easel. On either side of the white carpet were flowers and their pictures in photo frames. Behind the easel was a view of the sea, the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge and the skyline. On the easel, a sign had the words written “Will You Marry Me?”. It was the most beautiful and unexpected proposal!
