The Proposal:
Yan surprised Miki with a romantic waterfront proposal by Sydney Harbour Bridge, decorated with beautiful red roses, candles and big light up “MARRY ME” letters. How They Met:
Yan and Miki met 16 years ago in 2008 when they were still studying. They knew of each other, however had not yet met in person. They managed to get in touch again back in 2017 with the help of a mutual friend, as Yan was video calling with a friend when Miki was there. In 2018, he asked her to be his girlfriend with a promise to take care of her forever. Little did they know that after all this time, Yan had the perfect waterfront proposal planned up his sleeve.
How They Proposed:
Yan and Miki went on a two and a half week holiday and while in Sydney, he told Miki he had to help his friend get a bouquet to surprise his wife. Miki was a little jealous of the surprise. Little did she know what Yan had in store for her! They had a dinner in the evening time and afterwards were meeting up with friends.
They arrived to their waterfront proposal near the Sydney Harbour Bridge, where Miki spotted the proposal decorations. She let Yan know how pretty they were, wondering who the lucky girl was. He grabbed her hand and told her to take a picture of it, but not too near to the area as there was a photographer there. After taking the photo, he walked her up to the “MARRY ME” light up letters and got down on one knee to propose! A special moment marking the next chapter of their story!
